The Book Thief

A historical novel set in Nazi Germany during World War II. Narrated by Death, the story follows a young girl named Liesel Meminger who is sent to live with foster parents, Hans and Rosa Hubermann, in the fictional town of Molching. Despite the horrors surrounding her, Liesel finds solace in books, even stealing them at times, as she learns to read with Hans’s help.
